About Lydia Walker

Hey there, I'm Lydia.

I'm a singer/songwriter and worship leader from the Middle Tennessee area. Over the last 15 years, I've led worship for churches, youth events, camps and retreats. 

I've been writing original songs since 2004, about life, faith and wanting to change the world. Since then, I've released multiple albums independently, most recently a project of songs about motherhood, called "Made For This".

As a wife to husband David and mom to 2 little ones, Adeline & Logan, I'm passionate about encouraging other young moms in this stage of life, reminding them that the work they are doing is important, and that they are doing a good job.

Also, I want to pass on what I've learned to other songwriters to help them write, record, and release their own music. So I started the Rustic Songbird Podcast, where I interview songwriters about the craft, to encourage writers who want to take their music to the next level.

I love singing for women's retreats and teaching songwriting workshops at conferences.  I'm also in the process of creating an online course to help other independent musicians put their music out into the world.
